For the past several years, I have enjoyed the particular discipline of engineering systems that have to work: the product surface, the data model, the infrastructure, and the awkward edge cases between them. It is satisfying work, but it has also sharpened a bigger question for me: reliable for whom, and toward what end?
I want to explore AI not as an isolated capability, but as part of the social systems it enters. That means looking beyond accuracy and throughput to questions of access, consent, environmental cost, and whether the people affected have a genuine say in how a system is designed.
This is the direction that draws me to AI for sustainable societies. I am building this journal to make that shift visible: a place for technical reflections, mobility questions, and the learning I want to carry into interdisciplinary work.
Good technology is not only efficient. It is accountable to the people and places it changes.
